I have been fishing my whole life. It started with my dad. We had a boat and would go fishing in the Intercoastal Waterway on the weekends. Sometimes we fished off the pier in the Atlantic Ocean. He always baited my hook! We would take the fish home and have a fish fry!

Great fish I also love to fish---but just small lakes I want to be able to see the shore

I have never been fishing but I would so love to go sometime! You are a very pretty girl in your swim suits!

Great looking fish!! Nothing like hooking a big fish, let alone get it into the boat. I can not wait till this spring/summer to start fishing again. Looks like your dad has some great spots.

My Grandpa used to go fishing. I think he does. Sounds like you too have something in common. :)

dear vanna, hi once again, i just read that you went fishing with your dad as a kid, well i did the same thing to when i was a kid growing up too, my dad or parents would take me or my brothers out fishing in our area on weekends when we had the chance too. i truly do miss those days now, but too old and not enough time to do it now. but yes vanna i used to love fishing too myself. you also looked terrific, wonderful, beautiful as always. loved your swimsuits too. say hi to everyone at wheel for me too. loved your long-time wheel watcher of 29yrs,anne-marie m. gething. ps god bless you bigtime too.amen!

You are such an inspiration! I'm from SC, too. I grew up going to Myrtle Beach every summer. We had family and friends who had homes in Surfside and Garden City. Seeing you on Wheel every day reminds me that dreams do come true...and can still come true for others. Keep on shining for us "Southern Girls"! My best to you and your family.

I love fishing also. I love to eat them also. In my family, I am the expert on eating fish. No wonder, I love to fish also. My dream would be to go to Alaska and catch a big salmon.

I would never have guess that you are also an avid fisherwoman ( not sure if this a word).

Hi Vanna, I live in Colorado now but I grew up in NC and one of my daughters lives at Bath,NC. She and her husband have a boat and when I go to visit we go to Ocracoke to fish. I like the sea but I also like the mountains. The mountains won.
I like to watch Wheel of Fortune when I get home from work in time.Comes on at 6:30 pm here in the Rockies.
Keep up the good work.
A fan, Bob

vanna i have a funny story. my friend fran marcum was married to david michael (early) marcum in south carolina years ago and told me a story about her stepson who came to visit on the weekends and was at the age of telling little white lies, well one weekend he came over and told fran about playing football with vanna white. well she had to confront him thinking he was lieing and ended up giving him a spanking only to find out that he grew up next door to your parents and you had come home to visit for a holiday and played football with the neighborhood kids or at least a few of them. she didn't know you were from north myrtle beach. i believe his mom was sherry marcum. fran hatted it when i told her he wasn't lying, she felt so terrible. she was astounded that a tv star could be such a real person, theres my vanna story and im loving it. I lived in coward sc, just south of florence. bye for now p.s. i'm still waiting for my spin id to be called, lol jet

NICE FISH!! I can honestly say I've never caught one as big as the one in the upper right. Don't fish ENOUGH, I guess.
I am from Nisswa, in Crow Wing County, which is in N. Central Minnesota. First, some MN trivia-- Minnesota has more shoreline than California, Florida and Texas-COMBINED!! And here in Crow Wing County, we have the largest concentration of lakes in Minnesota, which means there are LOTS of fish. I hope that one day, the Show will come to Minnesota so you can enjoy some REALLY good fishing. And be sure to bring your famililes, you and Pat. I personally know 2 people who are professional fishing guides who would jump at the chance to take all of you fishing, and catch some whoppers!!!

Hello Vanna,
I had no idea you were a fisherwoman! And from the look of your catch, a very good one indeed! I've watched wheel from day one and at no time would I have thought you the fisherman....Well, now I can honestly say I've seen the worlds most beautiful angler!!! :-)....Blessings~~

Vanna.
Not only does your blog bring back childhood memories for me, but these photos of you sure make me realize just how much I need to get back into shape! WOW; you look amazing! But then, that's always the case.

That's a nice 'mess of fish' as we'd say here in Southern Mississippi. Fish Fry? Ok; you're really speaking my language! It is a very relaxing thing, fishing-and it builds patience too! Glad to see you out there having fun.
